Andrean is trying to secure it's first undefeated regular season since 1969, while Lowell is attempting to right the ship after a disappointing loss at Munster. This matchup is obviously one of the most heated rivalries in all of northwest Indiana. And with Valparaiso head coach, Mark Hoffman, possibly coaching in his final meeting between the two schools, makes it an even bigger event. Portage would jump on top early, after a long touchdown pass on the opening play from scrimmage. But, Valparaiso would soon take control thanks to Andrew Kittridge, and their vaunted running attack. The Vikings would even their record at 4-4 and defeat the Portage Indians, 42-28. |
The Snider Panthers play their best game of the season against the #1 ranked team in class 4A. The game would feature an abundance of points, but when the dust settled, Cathedral would have the advantage, defeating Snider, 39-31. |
With first place in the DAC on the line, Lake Central invades the new field of Troy, in hopes of keeping it's undefeated season alive. After a first quarter surge by the Trojans, the Blue Indians lock down Chesterton defensively. And in the 4th quarter, Lake Central pulls away for good, defeating the Trojans, 38-7. |
The Lowell Red Devils attempt to win their 4th consecutive game against the Hobart Brickies, at the Brickyard. The game would be close the entire way. It was a spirited effort by the home team, but it would not be enough as Lowell would escape in a nail biter, 19-17. |
The Crown Point Bulldogs travel to Portage to take on the Indians. Portage makes numerous mistakes early in the game and the Dogs capitalize. Crown Point played like a well oiled machine and would spoil the Portage homecoming, defeating the Indians, 42-0. |
The Griffith Panthers travel to the Inferno to take on the Lowell Red Devils in NCC action. Lowell uses 3 first half touchdowns to pull away and eventually hold off Griffith, 18-13. |
