St Rita at Portage
SATURDAY AUGUST 29th
ST Rita at Portage
This traditional Chicago Catholic powerhouse makes the rare trip across
state lines in what was a heck of a game. St Rita and their strength
wore down the Indians. Player observations below
St Rita
Bruce Gaston DL 6-3 310 (2010)- Showed why has colleges all over the
midwest drooling over him. Quick, mean and tough. Left game with lower
leg injury hopefully is ok.
Kimani Thomas DL 6-2 260 (2010)- Not far from Gaston. just not a
quick
Ronald McNamara DE 6-3 225 (2010)- Strong as ox. old fashion tough
player. D1 offers
Joseph Campagna LB 6-1 220 (2010)- all over the field. typical catholic
leaguer
Dan Connolly DE 6-5 250 (2010)- Underrated on this team would be
standout elsewhere.
Robert Gallik QB 6-2 185 (2010)- first year starter. great poise and
touch
Jawhon Akui RB 5-7 175 (2011)- star of this game over 280 yards and
5 tds. Quick fast and strong. Definite D1 despite height
Timothy Gorski TE 6-7 230 (2011)- Should be one of nations top tight
ends in class of 2011. Great feet speed and size. Big time talent
Timothy Ladd OLT 6-4 274 (2010)- Led big strong line.
PORTAGE
Jake Dixon RB 6-1 180 (2011)- Had heard a lot about. made a big time
believer out of me. Should be higher up on most junior lists. Question is
what positions RB, S, WR or OLB
Zach Huston QB 5-10 175 (2011)- Showed huge heart with good
quickness and surprising arm strength.
Carlos Bonilla LB 6-3 215 (2010)- stood out all over the field. Could be
sleeper prospect
Marcus Bush DT 6-4 265 (2010)- injured did not play.
